I just realized that its ironic how a lot of feminist women are often playing the role of the nurturing mother which is exactly what feminists try to steer away from. Is it really a negative thing to find empowerment in being a mom? I dont find it demeaning at all to admit that the mother OFTEN has a much larger burden than the father does. Even in the hunter/gatherer cultures the female would often have to stay behind and take care of EVERYTHING at home while the male would go out hunting. Can we all just try to be team human instead of splitting each other up so much? I mean, do what you want to do but take a look at yourself before you start parroting something you read on an angry blog post. By the way, I often preach that Disney movies have brainwashed the minds of recent generations to think that a knight in shining armor should come rescue the princess. I think many women attach to the idea that a man is going to come a long and save them because thats what our culture has led them to believe. Youre lucky if you find a man whos willing to be that guy, and youre also lucky if you find a woman whos willing to NOT be that girl. Both genders: be strong and keep your shit together. Theres not a defined role you need to play, except contribute something. Sincerely, a guy who read the trending topic about Kirsten Dunsts offensive traditional gender role comments in a Harpers Bazaar magazine interview.
