I just received this email from a reader. Supposedly, makeup is a sin. :/ I used to read your blogs and I admire you. However, I feel convicted to tell you what I have found out to be the truth, as you profess to be a Christian. I used to think exactly as you do. Women are supposed to look their best for their husbands and yes, there may be nothing wrong with that. The issue here is where makeup is concerned, particularly eye makeup. I could not be caught dead without my eyeliner, no matter what, I was even planning on getting it tatted. That was until I met a girl from a different state, she was traveling with her youth and came to my church. My family offered her a place to stay for the night at our house. She insisted on praying with some of my family embers. Little did I know that she was gifted with seeing visions from God. She gave my two family members present and myself each a vision or verse from the Bible that was shown to her. By their fruits you should know them; her prophesy/vision that she told me has since come true. She also told me that God didnt want her wearing makeup and that she was given a vision of what she took as God wanting her to wear skirts. Obviously, I didnt accept it as eyeliner was something that had become a part of me. After hours of researching whether makeup is a sin, I came to a conclusion that makeup is not a sin and forgot about our convo. Months later, I came across a video https://youtube/watch?v=hiphtM2aMek that was made by a person by the name of Chris Lasala that does deliverances on people. I hope you watch it, as he goes into detail on how makeup is a sin (I hope its the right video, regardless I still hope you watch it, if its not). After hearing Lasala talking about how demons dont want to leave a person if they have makeup on, I still continued to wear makeup. Again, I did research on whether makeup was a sin or not, and somehow convinced myself that it wasnt. After all, we have to look good for our husbands right? I held on to that belief until I started searching for God further. I found out about an old lady that has prophecies and drove three hours to pray with her. She gave me a prophecy. She called over a friend who is also gifted with visions. We prayed, and her friend gave visions/prophecies to the people with me and to myself. She also had general visions to all the people in the room. Her final vision before we left was that the Lord said to stop wearing eye paint or he will cause us to be blind, physically or spiritually, idk. Its been only a couple days since I havent been wearing my eyeliner. Although I do continue to wear cover up. I found this site against the use of makeup that has a lot of information: rcg.org/books/tthbm.html. Did you know that eye paint was used by the Egyptians for ritualistic ceremonies and for their gods? I have and still continued to use it until the Lord told me to stop. Once you buy a lie its hard to get rid of it, so I hope you wont be stubborn like me.
