I just sat through the most pointless and misplaced presentation I have ever had! I was in Spanish class. I am in that class because I want to be a social worker and I would like to be able to communicate to the Hispanic population. This guy from Michigan U came and talked for an hour about art and the Dominican republic. He is a word-famous artist and he was talking to us about art. I give the guy points for trying, but only one (maybe two) students seemed to have any idea what he was talking about because the rest of us are in there because it is required or going into social work, business,... I seriously had to bite my lip for an hour because it all seemed like a joke! Plus, I never could really get what the guy was getting at in his speech....I see now why people hire professionals to give presentations for them.
