I just saw a post from a musician I greatly respect. I wanted to post that I didnt think it was up to his standard. We dont do that. I wish we did. I wish everytime I posted something folks would actually listen to it and critique it. Not insult it, critique it. Tempo is too slow, this or that line doesnt work, solo is too long or too sloppy, something is out of tune, these vocals could be better, and finally...try this...(some constructive suggestion). Or simply, I have heard (tune X) from you and this isnt on that level. The tiny handful of musicians I know that take someone to the side and give them advice are 1000 better than someone who compliments me on crap.
