I just shared this with a medicine group but thought it might be of interest to people in this one. I grew up in Jackson County Georgia and have Lumbee/ Cherokee- Creek in my ancestory. My grandmother saw something in me different than the other grandchildren . She would pull me aside to teach me about different flowers, plants, herbs, animal and weather signs. She felt I should always wear red . She had a Pomengranate tree growing in her yard which in itself was a near impossible thing for north Ga. She would make me go to this tree daily in the summertime no other grandchildren and pick a fruit and eat it. At the time I detested it so much work for so little fruit , and your hands would be stained red all day. Her tribe believed the fruit to sharpen intuitive powers of someone born with strong ability and she was right. She was 511 and beautiful this was her on her wedding day
