I just unfriended someone I had quite a bit of respect for after he posted that the charges against Adrian Peterson for hitting his 4 year old child with a switch are ridiculous. I understand some people support the spare the rod, spoil the child standard and parents raise their children differently. Still, were talking about a 4 year old. It is child abuse, and if you disagree you may remove yourself from my friend list. And just an additional tip for those who think hitting is necessary for properly disciplining children, if you teach them clearly and set their boundaries when theyre 2, you barely need to raise your voice when theyre 4. Fear is NOT respect.
