I just wanna document this, & I cant think of a better place than on FB. I hope posting this does not discourage anyone; in fact, it is my hope that it does quite the opposite. Oregon requires a person to have an Oregon driver license or non-driver ID card to register to vote, and u must register to vote no later than the 21st day preceding an election in order to vote. I was unable financially to accomplish this, and I am certainly not at the low end of the income scale. I intended to just go to the polling station anyway, present my birth certificate/other credentials, as I have been suggesting of others in these type circumstances, and at least let them know Im a US citizen in good standing, and if I cant vote, I demand to know why, in writing! But guess what?! When I punch in my address to find voting places I get no results, even tho the systems all recognized the address. I tried several ways, including but not limited to googling polling stations and voting stations along with my full address. I also tried finding a phone number for them on my smartphone (4G), to no avail. I never dreamed that in Oregon, of all places, I would be one of the victims Ive been trying to help warn, but it appears I am. But make no mistake about it, this just serves to strengthen my resolve. I just hope democracy survives another cycle, and I say that with the utmost sincerity. I love u United States of America!!!
