On New Years Day (or on the 2nd, if the shop closes for the holiday), you can get Lucky Bags with stuff in them at anywhere from 30-70% off. Some places tell you whats in the bags, others leave the mystery. If you dont feel lucky, this is still just about the only time of year you can get beyond 10% off sales and up into the 30-50% range on large sections of many stores. So if youve got some time off this week, head into Tokyo and enjoy the madness. Just dont expect to get a seat on the train. ;)
