I just wanted to share some concerns/ questions that are on my heart this morning. In light of everything going on right now in our nation (Ebola Virus, Stock market declining, terrorism, just to name a few), I am wondering if we as the church are ready for a widespread disaster? I am not trying invoke fear at all. Jesus did say what the signs of His coming would be, There will be wars and rumors of wars, nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. Not only that, but Jesus says this will just be the beginnings of birth pangs. Consider our local churches... are our pastors, leaders, laity ready for something of the magnitude that West Africa is currently facing? Are we as the church ready not only spiritually, but in the natural as well? I believe we must have an answer for the lost. We must at least have gone into our prayer closet and sought the Lord as to what His plan would look like. Are we ready to share Christ, lay hands on the sick, etc? Do we have a plan in place to help those who are financially impacted if they should have to miss work due contracting the Ebola virus? I certainly hope this has not been a downer for anyone. I am simply putting this out there to make us all THINK! We should seek the Lord about a plan for our family, our local church and what part we play in this last days unfolding. We need not fear as believers! We have THE ANSWER! Shalom
