I just wanted to share this post to let everyone know how the Switzerland County Farmers and Artisans Marketplace is doing and clear up any confusion. Thank you to everyone who has come out to support the marketplace. Remember we will be open until November 23! (I did not write this, I am reposting from our market page, but I feel it is important for everyone to know) We have received great feedback on the new Farmers and Artisans Marketplace. So far, its been a mix of local residents and those driving by, to or from Belterra. Just to clear up any confusion, the market in Vevay has not been relocated. As far as I know, that market still exists. Our group, is dedicated to bringing fresh, LOCALLY GROWN produce to market, as well as locally produced arts and crafts, Not to mention, value added foods like jams, jellies, honey, baked goods and more. Our farm members employ sustainable agricultural methods in production. Thats a big deal for those of you who are aware of what that means. Next year will be really exciting for the market, as we add new members, a more diverse line of products, and special events. And that folks, is just the beginning of a multi faceted approach to promote agriculture and tourism together, in Switzerland County. If you want to hear more about the vision, our members will welcome the opportunity to share.
