I just wanted to take a moment to encourage everyone to shop with small businesses as we get into the holiday shopping season. One of the McClary Bros. himself, Ben, has lately come to be afraid of EVERYTHING (Im shaking my fist at you, Halloween) and he had become afraid of being alone. I asked him what would help him feel brave and he told me he needed a bow and arrow and then he wouldnt be afraid. I could have bought a cheap plastic toy at any big toy store, but instead I found a woman with an etsy shop and all she makes are various bow/arrow sets for young kids. I asked her if she could write no monsters or keeps away monsters on it, even just with a sharpie, just so he could feel like it was made especially for him, to protect him from monsters. She went above and beyond, created this cute warning label and put a mini version on the bow itself. He was so thrilled to get his bow and arrow set, hes been wearing it over his shoulder since I opened the box (it had to sit next to his bed while he slept). You will NEVER get this type of service from a huge corporation making one toy fits all products. I encourage everyone this year to remember that when you shop will small businesses, you shop with hardworking people, people who take pride in what they do.
