I just wanted to thank everyone for your text, calls, messages, AND your prayers. I havent been able to return any today but I will one by one. I just got home from Little Rock where they moved dad from ICU into a room. He is on constant oxygen and is still laboring to breathe. His oncologist is supposed to make his rounds in the morning and talk to Mom and Dad about any options there might be. His lungs are surrounded by fluid caused by the cancer cells. From what I can gather, its basically squeezing his lungs. The hole in his intestines is causing sepsis in his body and its leaking into very vital organs. Surgery isnt an option because his lungs are not strong enough to make it through anesthesia, let alone the surgery itself. I try really hard not to put things like this on the internet but there are so many of you who care for my parents that it would be unfair to not share what I know. Also, Dad asked me to post this on Facebook but he or I neither one could remember his password. Ill try to figure it out tomorrow. Dad said: Please let everyone know that I have been a very blessed and happy man in my life. Ive been blessed with many friends who have cared for me and prayed for me through these last 4 years. I can not imagine a life any greater than the one Ive had. I love them all. I will tag Mom and Dad so that their friends can read this as well. Please continue to keep him in your prayers you guys. This has been a struggle for him for four years as well as it has been for my mom, my sister, my brothers, myself and our families. Thank you, to all of you. You will never know how much your prayers and your friendships are cherished.
