I just wanted to type this post to create some awareness about the issues of not having a dog on a leash cause. My little 9 month old girl Winnie was attacked on our property less than three weeks ago after a large dog off its leash entered our yard and picked Winnie up and shook her, we took her to the vets asap but her internal wounds were too extensive and she passed away over night :-( I really dont care how well trained a persons dog is or if they are super friendly ... it only takes one instance like this for a life to be taken. Numerous times I have been on walks with my dog where people have had theirs off its leash and the dog cant help but run over to my dog and have a go at him. But vice versa if my dog wasnt super friendly it would be that persons dog that would be at the vets ... so it is safer to prevent an attack of any kind to have your animal on a LEASH.
