I just watched Code Reds DVD of this and I have to say, if you are even a casual fan of this flick you NEED to pick this up. Yes, its missing around 15-minutes from the original cut but that old bootleg Eurovista DVD version that we all have is missing like 50% of the image! You can really see how beautiful this movie was shot with the proper dimensions rather than the awful pan and scan job on that other release. This cut is also about 10 minutes longer than the old (awful looking and sounding) Something Weird Leather And Whips widescreen release (which ran 78-minutes) this ones around 85 and the original runs 98-minutes. This one also has on onscreen title of Maniac Mansion which Ive never heard of before. Even with all its grindhouse scratches, print damage and sloppy reel changes, I think this is currently the best this movie has looked on home video so far - until a hopefully remastered uncut version comes along.
