I just witnessed a death from the second floor of the Ayala - TopicsExpress

I just witnessed a death from the second floor of the Ayala Centrio Mall. A man in a red shirt and white shorts either fell or jumped from the 3rd floor to the ground floor activity area. I didnt see him fall but when i rushed to the railings i saw his body below in a pool of blood. HE WAS STILL BREATHING. What shocked me was not the sight of so much blood, but the fact that he landed a mere few feet from an ongoing blood letting program where SEVERAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS where seated. I AM STILL IN SHOCK AT THE APATHY I WITNESSED FROM THEM. NO ONE, NOT ONE OF THEM RUSHED TO HIS SIDE TO HELP. THEY JUST SAT THERE AS IF NOTHING MORE THAN A BIRD FELL FROM THE SKY. Needless to say, i was not the only one who saw the incident. It was witnessed by at least 50 people and more were coming. It took several minutes before the mall first aid team came and tried to resuscitate the man, but of course, he died shortly after. At the moment that i was seeing all these, i could felt so helpless that i could not rush to his side, as the elevators and escalators were far from where I was. Sometimes... It makes one think, and think again... How ironic that THEIR BANNER READ: "YOU CAN SAVE LIFE". I hope none of us forget that DOCTORS AND NURSES TAKE AN OATH TO MINISTER TO THE healthy, the sick and the DYING AS WELL. Shame on them. Their bloodletting program was nothing but c**p. Excuse my french.
