I keep my circle very small. Im not anti social or judgmental at all. I know I am at a super busy time in my life so I dont want to take on more than I can handle. Im a mom of three, I run one (about to be two) small businesses, and I have a husband who needs me. I have close family members and a very small group of real friends who understand and support me and I support them too. Ive also been used in the past. So many people want to be my friend just because they want something from me and usually its photography related. It gets real tiring to see the same tricks over and over again from people who claim to be nice people but underneath they talk about you. I know so many people in this industry and I find out everything. I take my friendships very seriously and build on trust and loyalty. I dont have the time to carry on fake friendships bc honestly I just dont care for it. Lifes way too short. So please understand if I cant meet you for coffee, answer every photography question you have, go on a play date, talk to you over the phone... Answer your text/email right when you send it... That its not because I dont like you or I think Im too good. I feel a little tension from some people who think I owe something to them... Like I should help them and be there for them all the time and bc Im not they want to act weird... Which creeps me out because we were not really friends in the first place so its a little awkward. I dont want to be rude and hope that if this applies to you that you dont take offense, but know I that I see you and Ill be here for you when I can. Im probably not going to be your best friend, but Im here and thats going to have to be good enough. If not, Im okay with that. Doesnt mean I have to talk about you to others. 2015 has no room for error. I wish everyone the very best in all that they do.
