I kinda know, Im sometimes pushing into your lives, and joke once in awhile, which yall seem to tolerate, thank you, but I am sensitive, dont feel good when I intrude into things you have going on, but youve indulged me this long, and showered me today with so many gifts, I will hold to for a long time, but for just now, I hope youll allow me a few more moments, serious to me. I know immediate grief can be brief, but it isnt really, and I sure have burdened yall with a life time of mine. FB is a place to express, sometimes repress, but it seems it brings people together, as much as it might push them apart. Anyway... After dinner tonight, and seeing all the best wishes, I noticed Hooligan wasnt around. It was dark already and that dog hasnt missed a meal since we brought him home, so I went outside, calling, and went again to where we had buried Bodie. Hooligan was there, laying over the small mound of fresh dirt, and looked up hearing me, but didnt come when I called. I went, sat by him, patted him, and we talked about the loss. Well I talked, he mostly just listened. I had some treats in my pocket, knowing Hooligan had ignored his meals, and finally enticed him to take one. I heard my mom calling, as moms do, so I got up, responded, and started to walk back to the house, Hooligan caught up with me, wed said our goodbyes and went into the house. I was asked where wed been, I told mom, she was glad Id found Hooligan, but realized I was in an unusual quite mode, so she didnt press any issues. Id shed enough tears for then, and when everyone left the kitchen, we went back downstairs, and sat on the floor. I took a piece of birthday cake, gave Hooligan his food bowl. He proceeded to lay across my lap, No cake for you, but did put some icing on his nose. I showed him all the birthday wishes, as if it mattered to him, then we went to the living room and I took a chance. Can we get another dog?
