Using ANOTHER game to jam the first game into the console when the internal spring broke 2. Hitting the NES literally as hard as possible, this worked for us for YEARS 3. Trying to rapid fire the reset button, or time the flashes of the game menu with the reset button to hopefully trick it into sticking 4. Setting up barriers around the NES so one couldnt accidentally nudge it causing a reset 5. Sliding the cartridge in as slowly as possible to ensure the lock was solid .....probably a bunch more, but good memories
