I know I am going out on a limb here and believe me I dont mean any disrespect to wing Chung practitioners as I enjoyed practicing wing chung ... but as a Kyokushinkai / Jutsukai student /warrior this is my humble opinion I know Sifu Paul and Rick may disagree, but an art form that cease to grow is a dead art form. If people still drew as cave men or the ancient Egyptians there would not have been any Renaissance painters, how easy it is now to wonder how anyone missed the shadows and 3 d effects. What is done in darkness always comes to light. When everything is a secret nothing is secret. When who you studied under is more important than what you studied ... something is wrong ... when your art is incapable of evolving because it is practiced in darkness ... 18 seconds .... 18 seconds .... the best wing Chung man against Kyokushin in first open match ... kyokushin incorporates all martial arts it is a living art. It isnt who can pay $100s of dollars a month but who has the heart to train even if they are poor and dont have a penny. It is about adaptability not just tradition ... it is not about that is not real Kyokushin (as in everytime Wing Chung loses people make comments that that is not real Wing Chung ... even at Wing Chung sponsered events ... Kyokushin is not about making excuses ..., someone misrepresenting Kyokushin is very quickly exposed, maimed, injured, disfigured ... bad and possibly worst (death) ... that is the Kyokushin way ... there is no that is not real kyokushin (as in thats not real wing chung, ... fake Kyokushin just dont exist.) At least not for long .... it isnt called the strongest Karate without good reason, ... it is full contact, without gloves, shin pads, head pads (helmets or whatever you call them) it is two people pitted against one another, within certain defined rules to minimize unnecessary deaths .... it isnt a team sport, it is you against the most dangerous animal on the planet ... another human being .. and your will to be triumphant ... Osu....
