I know Ive bored my FB friends with this so many times, but I am just loving my year so far. Not a single behavior referral. Not even an incident that I thought about making a referral for. The last holdout in my 6th hour class is now at ease and talking to me, not looking at the table when I say his name, but coming in early to tell me where hes at with the current project, and asking questions (looking me in the eye) when he doesnt understand something. In fact, he even took up a challenge to make Edgar Allan Poes poem The Bells into a rap and present it to the class. Hes currently the only one with extra credit for that. It was amazing! He did stumble over the word tintintabulation but otherwise flawless. And one student who was suspended for three days asked to make up the work he missed. Dont know why he was suspended, but my guess is he was fighting (hes in a gang). Hes quite proud of his grade and wants to keep it. Again, please dont wake me from my dream...
