I know a lot of people like to post about how much they HATE their birthday, but I am not one of those people. I love everything about my birthday. The time of year is GREAT because its early in the fall season (Football!!!). When I was younger it happened right after school started so I got to have birthday parties where I would catch up with friends who I hadnt really seen over the summer. And I get to share it with my AWESOME twin brother Corey so I never had to plan my birthday parties alone (when we turned 16 we had a Kill Barney The Dinosaur themed birthday which was ridiculously entertaining). I dont look at my birthday from the perspective of how much older I am or how much time I left on this Earth, for me it has always been a milestone of how far I have come and how far I have progressed in my life. And now with my own wife and kids I look forward to it even more knowing that every year I get to watch our family grow and continue to create milestones within my own family. I look at my birthday through a similar perspective of how people look at New Years eve/day, which, if youve ever talked to me about that I dont really make New Years resolutions. Its a starting point and an end point for me. I have one year to learn/do/create something new and at the end of the year I get to evaluate all that I have done and think about what I plan to do next year. This year has been absolutely incredible with the new job promotion (a huge career goal achieved), my trip to Australia (completely Paid for by my company), my oldest in pre-k, my youngest making huge developmental strides in her life, our first family Vacation, AND we got cable for the first time in years lol! If you look up the definition of Revolution you get a few different descriptions. The 2 I like the most are: 1.) The movement of an object in a circular or elliptical course around another or about an axis or center. (i. e. a solar year/birthday) 2.) a dramatic and wide-reaching change in the way something works or is organized or in peoples ideas about it. (i.e. Personal Growth) So Birthday = Revolution. Think about that!
