I know everybody is wondering what happened with Hunter so I - TopicsExpress

I know everybody is wondering what happened with Hunter so I thought I would make a little post and let you all know. Hunter was doing well as you all saw in his Christmas and New Years pictures. I had checked on him and gave him his meds at 2:00 yesterday morning and then fed him around 3:00. I fell asleep in the recliner in the living room and something made me jump up and go to his room. It had to be Tommy waking me and telling me to get in there. It was time for his meds again so while I was giving them to him I heard a gasping noise. I turned around, took off his bi-pap mask to suction him but he didnt look right. I screamed for John Bennett and when John saw him he knew Hunter was dying. He went to call 911 and that is when Hunter made two more gasps, turned his head towards me and he was gone. This all happened in two minutes, so fast and peaceful, exactly the way I have prayed they would pass. He looked so peaceful and innocent, not like the wild crazy redhead we all knew and some feared LOL. My heart is broken, I miss his eyes, staring into mine, telling me whatever he was feeling. Those crazy eyes that were the same color as his hair LOL. I miss him so much but feel such a relief that he is no longer hooked up to machines helping his breathe. We had planned on going to Monterey yesterday but obviously that didnt happen. Last night on the news they said it was 80 degrees in Monterey which it rarely hits 80 in the summer so 80 degrees in January is crazy. I know that it was a sunny day on the beach in Monterey because Hunter and Tommy were there, playing in the sand like they did so many years ago. Hunter was on that bi-pap machine 16-20 hours a day so he was unable to travel or even leave the house most of the time for the past year. Now that we are not tied down to the house anymore, John and I plan to take Ciara out as much as we can, like the old days. We will be taking her to Monterey after the funeral. We would love to take her to Disneyland one more time. Anyway, thats what has been going on here the past 24 hours Please keep Ciara in your prayers. Yesterday she got sick and now I pray it doesnt turn into pneumonia. Thank you all for the amazing flood of messages, phone calls, and visits. Also, thank you to Mary DiRegolo Brian Diregolo and Matt & Sarah Sammons for the gorgeous flowers.
