I know for sure that I dont like dry, barren flat, places. I tend - TopicsExpress

I know for sure that I dont like dry, barren flat, places. I tend toward green, hilly, places! Love those mountains, and lush, vegetated land! I love flowering plants, trees, all of nature. The Hebrew children got up close and personal with nature during their forty year stint in the desert. Wilderness. Wilderness living. How hard this must have been! Water was at a premium, so was food. God did provide, but only enough for each day, one at a time. You know there had to be some stnky folks living in the camp! And hot! This ole girl dont do hot any more! Living in the land-of-just-barely-enough instead of the land-of-more-than-enough. Camping in the wilderness when the land of promise was just a few days journey away! Took forty years for God to accomplish in them what He intended at their exodus from Egypt. So how long has it taken, or is it taking, you to get where a God intends for you to go? Have you been a grumbler, complaining about every thing that doesnt go your way? Are you a criticizer, finding fault as Miriam, Moses sister did with his choice of a wife? Are you tired of the manna? You would rather be in Egypt, eating onions? In bondage? Have you decided to just party on, while someone else is up on the mountain spending time with God? Keeping things going while you are having a fine time with other pursuits? Or are you just biding your time until you reach Glory, camping at the foot of Sinai? What is keeping you from moving forward with God? What prevents you from packing up and moving to your promised land? A land flowing with milk and honey. A land of opportunity. A land with cities you have not built. A place with houses you did not construct. Gardens you did not plant. Riches you did not earn. A place of peace and promise, of rest and restitution. A chance to begin again, fresh and new. There is a whole new place to grow into in Gods plan for you. But it starts with you. Give up the old habits. Start in a new direction. The decision is totally yours: stay where you are, in the dry, barren wilderness, or start your journey to your promise! Your destiny! Your lush, green, bountiful future! Wilderness living takes stamina, and hard work. Its tough to live in the wilderness. Promised land living is much easier, because it is Gods will and pleasure to give good things to His children to begin with! Jesus said His yoke was easy and His burden light! Yes, Heaven awaits, but have mercy! There is an abundant life right here, right now! Just reach out and claim it! Move into your land of promise! Time is short. I say this a lot, but God keeps bringing it up a lot to me. What we are going to do, lets do it now! While we are able! Break camp, leave Sinai. The desert, the wilderness---do not stay there any longer. Provision has been made for you a long time ago. Are you settling for barely enough?
