I know hindsight is brilliant but race director, Charlie Whiting, should have deployed the safety car to protect the marshals recovering Sutils car on the previous lap. The situation would then have been brought under control and what amounts to a piece of construction equipment would not have been between Bianchis out of control Marussia and the safety barriers. As Martin Brundle stated he had nearly the same accident at Suzukas Degna curves in the wet. This time narrowly missing the tracked recovery vehicle but badly injuring a track marshal who was recovering another car.
