I know this is probably not the original intention of this image.. But this reminds me of the illusory nature of the persona in my view. It goes to show how all these different ways of dressing, style, etc.. This is simply a persona.. Imagine one person doing all this. The outward self is an illusion as I see it, in a sense. A social construct or mask. Thats not to say the outward personality is always who we want it to be.. It comes partially from an inner reaction to environment. But the persona is illusion... Not in the sense that it doesnt exist within us.. But in that it is not based on external reality.. Perhaps people are not so much individuals, but follow archyptes or certain patterns.. Just my thoughts. William Sheakspeare said, We are all merely actors in the play of life. :) What do YOU think? What is the persona (outward personality)? Is it real? Where does persona come from?
