I know times are hard but I have to post this e-mail. She helped raise me and my sister Tina Hopkins when alot of people couldnt have handled us :) Shes never ask me for anything in return so this is the least I can do. If anyone could help that would be awesome. Gavin is a truely great kid and one of my heros....... Hello Friends, I am writing this letter to reach out to everyone I can, on behalf of my son Gavin Hopkin. Gavin is a wonderful young man, he has been playing football here in Franklin NC for 5 years in his senior he was captain of the Franklin Panthers the second game of the season he was injured on the field tore his acl and miniscus and had to have surgery so he was out for the rest of the season. Dispite the injury Gavin started working his upper body and getting in shape because he wanted to play football and Limestone college seen his film from the first 2 games and after talking to Coach Brooks about Gavin and talking with Gavin they offered him a partial scholarship to come and play football for the Limestone Saints in SC. He is the youngest of my 3 children and the first to go to college we dropped him off 3 weeks ago (one the hardest days of my life) and now we find out he needs $6500.00 to be able to stay at the school for the year the Coaches at Limestone are pretty certain Gavin will have a starting position when the season starts in 2014 which means he will have a full Football scholarship. I would not be asking if this was not a true need the past 2 years have been finacially tough on the family I have had 2 surgeries and been in and out of a wheelchair due to an illness I have called Ehlers Danlos syndrome. I have been driving school bus here in Macon county for 22 years and was just told by my Doctor that I am no longer able to work. So I am asking for your help to keep my son in college. An account has been set up an account at First Citizens Bank all donations can be written off and a reciept and an EIN number can be provided from the account ....please make all checks out to Gavin Hopkins College Fund..time is running out.We are Praying for a miracle at this point.
