I know what some are thinking! Mind you own business; you dont live in Ripley anymore, okay, I hear you and I have probably pissed a few of you off in the past - oh, well! But, you know me, I will speak my mind; some will listen, whether you like what I have to say or not! SO, here goes! What is up with these political flyers being sent out that portray my brother-in-law, Mike Bright, in a negative manner? I saw where one post stated a flyer had something like - MIKE BRIGHT & BARACK OBAMA - WAGING A WAR ON COAL - TIME FOR A CHANGE! Seriously folks, what correlation can you draw between Mike and Barack Obama? Be for real here; do you seriously think Mike is against the coal industry? Now, if a change is what you want, then Mike Bright is most definitely the CHANGE you NEED! The reason I say this is, you can, without a doubt, draw a correlation between Mike and his opposition for 12th District House of Delegates. Mike is no doubt the MOST pro-2nd Amendment candidate on your ballot and any other ballot nationwide, for that matter. Mike is the epitome of a public servant. He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a retired WV State Trooper, a two-term Sheriff in Jackson County and a Christian with high moral values! On the other hand, his opposition has NEVER, like Mike, served in the military. Nor has this person ever walked out of his house on a daily basis to protect and defend the people of our nation, state and municipality while not knowing whether he would come back alive or not! Rather profound, wouldnt you say? Conversely, his opposition has walked out of his house on a daily basis and worked in a profession, that in my opinion, is one that teaches the philosophy that one is to get as much hard earned money from their customers on a daily basis while giving back as little as possible in return. You know what I mean. I liken this profession (insurance business) to the life of a parasite that feeds off of the insecurities that one has, so they can rake in as much cash as possible. See, how else would this company be able to afford to pay for all of the commercials they air during prime-time sport events and the like on TV and elsewhere? Think about it; that is YOUR hard earned cash they are spending! I will end with a copy/paste quote I saw from one person (these are NOT my words): TIME FOR A CHANGE - I have lived in Jackson County for the past 20 years and I could not tell you one thing that Mr. Steve Westfall, who is also running for the House of Delegates position in the 12 District, has done for Jackson County! So YES - TIME FOR A CHANGE - I hope you will disregard all the negative advertising about Mike Bright and vote to send him to the Legislature on November 4th.
