I know you Alabama haters are getting all happy about the rumors - TopicsExpress

I know you Alabama haters are getting all happy about the rumors of our head coach leaving for Texas. I wouldnt think Nick Saban is going anywhere, but lets just pretend that the words of those trying to distract Alabama from the task at hand (SEC Championship and National Championship ) are true. So what! The juggernaut called Alabama football has been exposed and could get any coach in the Country ( Pro or College ) to fill that spot. Alabama would continue to be a force and one of the top teams in College football. You ask how is that so? Ok, I will tell you how. There are a lot of factors but here are the two main reason I feel Alabama would continue to win post Saban days; ( whenever that maybe ) 1) Alabamas winning tradition, media exposure ( winning or losing ), reputation for putting players in the pros (Alabama always had some of the top players in the Country year end and year out), and the fan base makes Alabama a hot spot for top recruits in the Country. Nick Saban did not bring that to Alabama, all that, with our traditions were already in place years before Saban made his way into Tuscaloosa, but what he did bring leads me to number two: 2) The realization that there was and will only be one Bear Bryant! Also, that every coach that we hire does not have to have coached with, played under, parents played for or even look like coach Bryant. I have been a fan all my life and I believe for years the powers to be at Alabama tried to fill shoes and replicate a coach that was and will always be one of a kind. That era has gone with the hiring of Nick Saban. Coach Saban is a good mix with Alabama and its football program and together they have harnessed Alabamas potential and returned it back where it belongs at the top of College football, but Alabamas winning ways are here to stay with another top coach, who ever that would be! SORRY HATERS :)
