I laid him neatly and carefully onto the table, he was calm and not too concerned about what was to become of him, after all he had been around for quite awhile and he knew that a new generation would soon take up where he had left off. I picked up a small knife and gently started to make the first cuts, there was no trauma no flinching, and only a minor amount of fluid loss. I have to admit it was going pretty well for my first time at this. I cut out the eyes and placed them in a bowl, working swiftly so that they would still be fresh for the moment that I would place them in soft fertile soil. I have a large bucket of the perfect soil beside me as I so want this ritual to go well. I placed the bucket outside in the yard in order to start the process and I poured plenty of water over the eyes, because water is said to be the basis of life. I so wish that Mr. Potato Head could be here to see his little ones grow up, but it just does not work that way, at least they have his eyes.
