I learnt a very very painful, heartbreaking and bitter lesson - TopicsExpress

I learnt a very very painful, heartbreaking and bitter lesson today. My good intention of giving the pups a feast on dinner function left over food, ie chicken..turned fatal when they were found 2 days later, weak, dehydrated, vomiting and diarhea with no appetite. Suspected them to be suffering from distemper, but NO.. it was later diagnosed as acute gastroenteritis by vet Dr Bhajan. One pup passed on in the morning and another succumbed in the day. The others are being fostered by volunteers for intensive monitoring. Is it really the food that caused it?? How come strays eating rotten food in the dumps are not affected? Whatever it is, I feel so guilty ... rescuing them and betraying them this way.. all because of my stupid actions. I think it would be wise to let friends know never to repeat what I have done, ie, never feed puppies with left over and oily foods, cos they are too small and fragile to consume them. I feel so guilty having cause their demise. Scold me, curse me, I will take it all in good faith; being a responsible guy, I will never hide but own up to my mistake because I have my own conscience to live with... To the 2 pups, I apologize for the wrong I have done you. Was only able to give 1 a proper and dignified burial. My tears flow freely when I said my final goodbye. :( May you both RIP.. be in good happy realm..ohm ohm ohm mani padme hom .. in the words of a friend.
