I like how i have to crank the heat in this house to stay warm - TopicsExpress

I like how i have to crank the heat in this house to stay warm since i have a draft under the front door and i can see outside from my livingroom through the gap between the ceiling and the wall. Every winter my heating cost skyrocket. This home has been our jail cell for 4 years now. How does one get compensation for that. How about Scott getting so stressed out that he got shingles from it. And hell have pain from that for the rest of his life. We bought this house originally to reno and sell and move on the the next. Eventually getting bigger and better. How does one get compensated for the loss of the potential income from us being at a stall over the past years. What will happen is the insurance lawyers will try to low ball everyone to maybe just the basic value of the home. And if we take it to court for pain and suffering and win which we would, the court costs are $10,000 per day so well never see it anyway. The only true winners in these cases are the lawyers. They made hundreds of thousands off of victims whether they win or not and the clients do most of the work anyway to save money. What a backward society we live in. We and anyone else should not be a victim when things happen to you and its 100% others peoples fault. We should not have to spend thousands on lawyers and engineers to prove that theyre wrong when they know it anyway. Only people who can pull together win, but still at a loss which is wrong. And if you cant get the resources to fight, then you will lose even though its their fault. I would love to sue Ted Adlem personally and The District itself for the other thousands that weve lost due to his neglect. This should of been over as soon as i discover the culvert under my house 4 years ago.If the District followed their bylaws when the first house was built then the rest of the houses would of never been built .The moral of this is if its a strong case then you have to stick together and dont let them separate you . You have to pull funds from any sources available to pay for these proceeding. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel as long as you stay strong. They will bully, they will deny everything to almost the fact that you dont live there. And they will stall for as long as they can ( years) in order for you to run out of money to pay for litigation and engineers. Thats how they wear you down till you give up. Our hearts and prayers are to all of you that have similar issues to ours and with the support of your community and compassionate people you will eventually win.
