I listened to several US media post Obama speech, news, discussions, debate concerning analysis of Obamas address to the nation. (US). Every US newscaster, US political, military figure were over the top, anxious, aggressive concerning, condoning mass US air strikes (bombings) both in US colony, Iraq and Syria. There was no mention of international law, concerning air strikes over Syria. No mention of who/what will replace Assad, if Assad is overthrown, killed, etc. There was absolutely no concern for mass civilian casualties, as ISIS is not only comprised of fighters, but, has the support of a considerable portion of civilian population. There was no mention of the fact that airstrikes, mass bombings, would not be enough to destroy ISIS. There was a general presumption that US allies would provide unlimited military support, regardless of financial costs, circumstances, effects on already economically mismanaged, drained, austerity prone western economies.. There was no mention of attempted negotiation, understanding of how, what, where, why ISIS rage has become both barbaric and outright deadly. My friends, I fear for the very near future. I fear a vast expansion of US aggression, beyond all known to recorded global history.
