I live in Bangkok where it is very hot and humid. The room - TopicsExpress

I live in Bangkok where it is very hot and humid. The room temperature is more like 32 rather than 17 or 18. When I buy a bottle of red wine to consume that evening, I usually pop the bottle in the fridge for about 30 minutes to bring the temperature down to European room temperature. Imagine my dismay this evening; I bought a nice bottle of South African pinotage and some Camembert, I popped the bottle in the fridge and went about my evening - preparing my dinner and eating it. Once my Cornish pasty and veg dinner was finished, I got the Camembert out of the fridge so once I am out of the shower, I can enjoy it all nice and gooey. I took my shower and got into my pyjamas. I turned on the tv and fell asleep for an hour. I woke up and went to pour myself a glass of wine and grab a couple of slices of Camembert. The pinotage has been ruined; it is ice cold. The cheese is also just as ruined, I may as well have baked it with some cloves of garlic. My evening is now but a woeful misadventure of misery. RUINED I TELL YOU. RUINED.
