I live in Turkey - about an hour from a refugee camp for families who have fled from Syria and ISIS. 500 people - many small kids - many barefoot in temperatures below freezing in what is the coldest Winter in Turkey in 60 years. We know this because friends have been there. Its horrifying. Although my position on refugees is very hard - if they are old enough to fight then they shouldnt be here - I dont include mothers with small kids and there are lots of the little ones running around in Summer clothes and bare foot.... in temperatures below freezing - living in tents. Two of my dear real life friends are travelling to the camp today and again every coming Wednesday with supplies and clothes. So, if you can, send some money, any amount. Even a dollar will help buy lentils and chick peas. If you are richie rich then please give more. Send your money via Paypal marking it clearly: refugees to [email protected] (my wifes account). Make your payments in your own home currency of your account or it will bounce. Your money will be used to buy food, clothes, socks and shoes for the kids and cheap carpeting for their crappy tents so they dont freeze at night. Receipts will be emailed to donors as proof.
