“I looked for a master my entire life. Until I realized I am the master that has to master myself.” -Al Pacino This quotation speaks for itself. Too many times I believe we look for someone to motivate us when in reality, we have the capability to master anything if we put our minds to it. Its only when we make up our mind to make up our mind are we only able to achieve what we have set out to accomplish. For example, if you have not, I encourage all of you to watch the movie “The Pursuit of Happiness.” The movie is about a man who was lost everything he had, became homeless, but later gained wealth after getting a job with an investment firm after completing an internship with the company. But during this process, people did not know he was living on the street, public restrooms, and taking care of a small son. Despite the major odds against him, Christopher Gardner out worked ever one else at the firm and mastered everything there was to know about investing. Eventually, he was able to build his own company and tours around the country telling his story. Some of you today could still be looking for motivation to help you get to the next level and excel in life and business. But remember, you already have the capacity to do so. It’s all about your outlook and how you view yourself. Motivation comes as the result of doing something. So today remember, you are the master of your own destiny.
