I lost my best friend this afternoon... my beautiful, caring, loving, funny mother. Mom, I will miss you to the day I die - just like I do my beloved sister (your daughter), Brenda. It has taken me all day to post anything because I have been with Dad (and Mom, too) making arrangements and discussing things. I am still numb and in gotta get this done mode, but I know when it sinks in, its gonna hit me hard. A big thank you to John Sanders (her son-in-law) for being there when Dad and I needed help caring for her. And my dad, God love him, has been tirelessly taking care of her to the point of exhaustion and beyond for so long. Thank you for loving her the way you did. She was lucky to have you (and you her, of course). Even through her illness, she was so sweet - complaining very little if at all. A truly gracious lady who will be missed by so many. A light just went out in the world, but is shining a little brighter in Heaven tonight... I love you, Mom..., but... you knew that.
