I love being an American, and I love the simple freedoms that I still have. I love that I grew up in another country that helps me really appreciate living in America. I love that in my corner of USA I feel safe running, that I have running water and can flush my toilet paper in the toilet, that I can drink the water from a faucet, that I have electricity, that I can walk barefoot outside, that I am breathing clean air, that it can be at the ocean in 2 hours, that for now, if I dont like something in the political arena, I can still voice it, that I can worship God, I love drinking water from a water fountain, that I can walk downtown and not fear someone stealing a necklace off of me, or worse, murdering me for something so trivial, that in the criminal justice system I would still be considered innocent until proven guilty. This Independence Day I will choose to count my blessings and be grateful!
