I love comics, still read them, mostly yer independent arty ones. 2000ad gave me an education thats stayed with me for life. But reading 2000ad from a young age also seems to have sabotaged gaining an appreciation for costumed superheroes. Im 45 now and Ive tried over the years to gain an understanding of the genre but to no avail. So, two questions, first what is the attraction? and secondly, is that attraction juvenile? i.e. a little emotionally stunted to be obsessed with in later life? This is not an attack on my fellow comic fans I hasten to add.
