I love my Facebook friends because they raise queries whether for or in opposition to some memes floating around the Internet. One like that is just utopian thinking I love these queries because they make me think what would be an appropriate response. Here is my feeble attempt Utopian thinking may not be the reality of the present but it is a necessary form of dreaming, of creative thinking about what might be possible to invent a different sort of world where war was unthinkable. If not for slaves & women dreaming of the utopian idea of equality and then organizing revolutions for overturning the old world order, it might never have happened. Why is so hard to see idealistic/utopian thinking as a force for evolutionary shifts to elevate our societies out the box perpetual crisis? Think of it like science fiction writers imagining the most outrageous fantastically impossible technology for a futuristic world. Things like airplanes, rockets to the moon or computers, robots and phones where you can take selfies and share instantly with your friends. It has been dreamed of even before the technology was available but as you know, these things have become a reality. So dream on all you utopian thinkers, we may just lead others to believe another world is possible. All then that will be needed is the will to make it happen by organizing the brightest minds and those with fearless courage to overthrow the current dying system before it is too late.
