I love the Im a Mormon campaign. I really do love seeing the diversity. I know a lot of folks might find that strange, coming from me. And I will admit, I disliked it at first. But I see the wisdom and the vision of it, and I cannot argue against that. I confess I have mixed emotions about mainstreaming the Church and the Restored Gospel. On one hand, it feels like we are diluting the gospel a little more each year. On the other hand, we are getting as many of the honest in heart into the big tent and out of the storm as we possibly can -- which is the number one priority in this spiritual triage. Regardless of what I may think or feel about *anything*, I know that we are led by a living prophet of a living God. Thomas S. Monson is the man the Lord has prepared and authorized to lead us for this time and season. He holds all the keys, powers, and authority that were restored to Joseph Smith through an unbroken line of restored apostolic succession. We are led by the Lord. This is His work. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church and kingdom here on earth. The whole of it is Zion -- or will be someday soon when we are prepared for it. He knows what He is doing. He doesnt need my second-guessing and Monday-morning-quarterbacking. He needs my willingness to receive instruction from on high, and to be led --which I offer to Him willingly. It supercedes anything else I might do or say.
