I love this guys work but have to disagree with his statements re social media and technology. The Internet and technology have been blamed for creating an anti-social world but thats tantamount to saying that the availability of guns is responsible for gun violence. Yes, I know that last bit coming from me sounds like Ive turned into a conservative or gun advocate but thats wrong. People and our thoughts are at the root of anti-social behaviours and gun violence. We always look outside ourselves to cast blame. The same people blaming the Internet/Facebook for the problems of interpersonal relationships come on where to blame it and seek their fame & fortune? Sorry brother, disagreeing on this one. Some of my closest relationships are via Facebook. My phone doesnt induce me to discriminate against others. The Internet has expanded the world for me and many others. The challenge is how to control our thoughts and not be controlled by them. Once you have mastered that or at least start learning to do that - the Internet, Facebook, Twitter - social media in general and technology will and can be a uniting force rather than what divides. Its about control and change. Self control and embracing change...they go hand in hand. Namaste
