I love to write. And some of my blogs have resulted in my in-box blowing up with hate mail. But some of my blogs have resulted in hundreds of emails and comments that have been nothing less than lovely! The most popular posts have been those written about patients, or about experiences while working as a nurse. I am amazed at not only the number of comments that I get daily, but what is written. Often times, I dont have time to read them all, and that makes me feel bad, like i am not acknowledging what people have to say. Some are so beautiful!, and a reflection on not only our career as health care givers, but a reflection on some beautiful hearts - hearts that I feel like I need to acknowledge! I said the other day that I am beginning to see things through different lenses. So many of these comments on my blog have helped replace the lens through which I see (and work!). And since I know how tired we all are after a long 12-hour shift (or several of them in a row), and how abused we can feel, how unappreciated that can sometimes disguise itself as, and how much are feet and our backs are killing us............ I have decided that I need to share some of the comments I have gotten. I hope that the comments people have made will encourage those of us in the health care field - not just nurses, but physicians and lab techs and respiratory therapists, and secretaries, and nurse techs, and housekeepers, and nutritionists, and dietary specialists, etc., etc., etc.....
