I loved this article. It said everything I have said. When I say to people that the Democrats dont know how to fight and sometimes fight dirty I get blow back. I stood toe to toe with a Tea Party believer and discussed the safety net she thought should be gone. When I said do you live paycheck to paycheck. She said yes. I asked her what she would do if one day she or her husband came home after losing their job. How would you pay your mortgage, buy oil in the winter, feed your family? She said well there is unemployment benefits and they could get some food stamps to help. I retorted no you cant your party took those away from you. Now how would you live and dont change the subject. All she said was we would get by. I told her I hope that one day reality doesnt slap her in the face because she voted to have those things taken away. And when you look at your children that are hungry and cold and the bank calls for the payment that is the reality you voted for. I also said that while both of you are working and living comfortably right now how would you get by if the door slammed you in the face. You by your vote put the noose around your own neck and kicked the chair out from under yourself by your vote. Go home take out your bills and give them a good hard look then tell me you dont need a safety net just in case. Great article.
