I made the chicken recipe called sweet and spicy where you wrap chicken strips with bacon. You are suppose to season it with chili powder garlic powder, and then roll it in brown sugar. I cant find the picture I posted to show them BUT here is what I did and they were a GREAT HIT. Have the butcher, or you can do it yourself, take 4 good size chicken breasts and cut them length wise to make 12 chicken strips. (I was told by the meat department to never buy chicken tenders since they are mostly tough and stringy). When you cut your own strips they are good size and tender. Then I seasoned them with garlic powder and seasoning salt. I eliminated the chili powder since I had kids to serve and I wasnt sure if they could handle the spice. Then we wrapped them in bacon (pinned them with toothpicks) and I rolled them in brown sugar and baked them at 400 degree for 30-40 minutes. TWO THINGS THAT I WOULD DO DIFFERENT: Partially cook the bacon and put them in a deeper pan to bake. The bacon was done but scared off a couple of the kids because it didnt look done. The shallow pan I had, bubbled over into the stove and we had a LOT of smoke where it burned to the bottom of the oven. Everyone loved them and I will definitely make them again. Easy and tender and juicy.
