I may bite off a rattlesnake but this morning my sweet son-in-law; Jerred McDade, an awesome coworker; Stephen Shackelford, and the one and only Don RaggMopp McPherson had some pretty good comebacks supporting their sweet Razorbacks. I understand my love for the Longhorns is painful for you guys. This mornings post was unfair and was salt in past wounds. I stated my day with the great song from Don. And smiled while Jerred and Stephen tag teamed me with ranking comments. I was busy all morning and could not respond. So here gentlemen is my response. I understand your dislike for the Longhorns, in 1982 when Arkansas was ranked #7 and Texas was #12, it was tough to accept them handing the hogs their rear with final score Texas -33/ Arkansas-7. I learned of this rivalry during my brief stay in Arkansas in 1987, when Texas most likely delivered the most painful loss to Arkansas. Arkansas ranked #15 with a 4-1 record was caught off guard when UNRANKED Longhorns below .500 with a 2-3 record played at War Memorial Stadium. Here it is guys, correct me if my memory is wrong, down 14-10 with less than 2 minutes to go, the Longhorns began an 11 play/ 56 yard drive resulting in an 18 yard touchdown pass leaving Arkansas defeated by an UNRANKED TEAM just 3 weeks after Miami humiliated them 51-7 on the same home field. I remember this game so well because all my friends during that brief time of my life here was still upset over the 1985 loss to Texas who was UNRANKED against the #4 ranked team. Score then was Teas-15 / Arkansas 13. I will give Arkansas credit for keeping Texas out of the end zone and the points had to be made by kicking 5 successful field goals. One more guys, 1989: Texas once again UNRANKED with Arkansas ranked #7, (is there a pattern there guys) Arkansas started good till halftime but the Longhorns dominated the field during 3 quarter. Resulting in 21-20 win over Arkansas. So I really have not followed football much in the last 10 years but I say once again. I would rather Hook Em Horns anyday than call up some pigs. Also I wanted to say miss you Jessica Simpson....
