I may not have won the election. But I refuse to sit here with my hand up until someone calls on me. Heres the latest; Connecticuts Bonding Commission authorized an additional 297 Million Dollars in bonds today. Bringing this years total to 1.97 Billion Dollars! This number even exceeds the bonding cap (1.8Bil) that was set by Governor Malloy. These negligent practices are the very reasons why our state is in the fiscal predicament it is. Spending has increased 2% each year that our Gov has been in office. Revenue isnt being generated and our residents are fleeing. We cant pay for anything. So instead of reigning in on our spending, we bond and borrow. Passing the debt to future generations. Out of sight out of mind. As of today, each resident in CT owes $48,100 dollars of the existing state debt. Unacceptable.
