I met Wendy after she started losing her hair and experienced countless bad hair replacement services. We went over different methods to find the best one for her. This style involved braiding all of her natural hair and Im still laughing years later her. She said, GIRL! I can see why black women have attitudes because this is tight and I feel myself getting one too! That was the start of her becoming like family. She told me how her hair was one of her everythings and was so happy that I could help make her feel close to her old self. She even had me do faux dreadlocks with purple and other colors. For her no idea was too far fetched. I just wanted to make her happy. It took hours to do her hair but that was quality time we had to talk about almost any and everything! Her and my mom Demetris Bell became great friends too. Wed shut the salon down for just her.. One time she came, she gave me a mink coat and said she wanted to give people that she loved her things while she was still alive. I felt bad accepting it even after I kept refusing such a gift..she wouldnt take no for an answer and now Im glad I hve it. I have my little piece of Wendy :) she was such pure joy and hope.
