I met with Debbie Gibson today about a grant that supports the planting of orchards in needed areas. More to come but our first need will be to find the public or private property in Frenchtown area that will have it. I was also delighted to hear news on an entirely different subject. I almost shed a tear when I heard that an autobiography is forthcoming on Wes Skiles. A well known environmental reporter is working on it. I had the opportunity to meet Wes on at least 3 different occasions and his untimely death during a scuba dive went by way too quietly. He was a giant in Florida efforts to protect the environment and specifically springs and waterways.
