I missed throwback sibling Thursday. My brother died in Venezuela - TopicsExpress

I missed throwback sibling Thursday. My brother died in Venezuela (along with my sister-in-law,) in a plane crash in 2001. He was such a force of nature- hilarious, gruff on the outside-marshmallow soft on the inside, smart, capable, occasionally infuriating, he worked super hard, but no one knew how to have more fun. He named our first apartment, The Red Door Lounge. When we bought our first house, he gave me a certificate for a Million Brother Bucks. When Jake was 4, he convinced him that his real name was Flanderhausen. We watched bad kung fu movies and Monty Python together. We pretended to eat cardinal sandwiches at Anna Egofskes wedding. We were carnies together in my mom and dads concession business and rolled a million (seems like it) mozzarella marinaras. He loved Admirals hockey. He could figure out how to do anything and do it well. If I needed him, he was always there for me. Lee-I dont cry in front of the DeWalt tool display anymore, but it sure makes me wistful. I miss your super quick wit, your humor, your attitude, your friendship, our massive waterfights, the pranks we pulled on each other- I miss you-every stinking day. See ya when I get to the other side. xoxo
