I must remind residents of Alipurduar district that by keeping off Mr. NIRMAL DAS, former MLA from alipurduar from the official proceedings regarding the christening of Alipurduar as district, the state administration has surely brought disgrace n dishonour to the long, gritty n persistent struggle Mr. Das waged, on behalf of all the residents of the district... Its one thing to eulogise the current state government n the ruling party for fulfilling the demand of the people in the mass euphoric mood, but its altogether different thing to forget the history of the struggle n sacrifice of those whose determination n single-mindedness has prepared the grounds for the district formation... The old man deserves his due recognition and honour both from the government n the people he struggled for... If it does not happen, history shall never forgive and time shall frustrate the people of Alipurduar district in future....
